It’s been a little while since I’ve found the time to sit down and write. Mostly because with September rolling around and most of my friends went back to work, or school I should say. I started feeling a bit left out. Yes, I left teaching because it was what my family needed, but I still miss it everyday.
We had looked at registering my kiddos for preschool this year, now that they are three, but then Covid hit and I didn’t want their first school experience to be like this.
Welcome to the school of Momma 😆
I decided since they can’t start preschool and given my background, and aching for missing school, I’d bring school home to them. Granted, they’re three! So, it will be a lot of games and beginning skills. But to get us started, I needed to set up the space.
One of the first things that happens daily, in every classroom, probably through elementary school, is some type of morning meeting/circle time. With my guys, I wanted to start basic, learning about days of the week, months of the year, weather, seasons, etc.

The kids were also gifted these adorable desks for their birthday one year, so they were the perfect addition to our new “classroom”

The other things I wanted on display where posters of various skills I knew I would be teaching them; letters, colors, numbers, shapes, etc. I found this great pack of 16, that came with all I wanted, plus some for later. I only put up a select few for now. The pack also comes pre-laminated, which made my teacher heart so happy.
Be on the lookout for our lessons soon!
